Jason Sullivan "Foreboding".
That's the word that keeps popping up in my mind when I listen to this album. Shroud Eater has captured that sense of impending doom and released it on your eardrums! Favorite track: Tempest.
Teasy thumbnail
Teasy Big-doom-sludge-slap-in-the-face with mighty Kylesa'ien and Torche'esque force and Mortals-like pissed off female vocals. Big fun! Favorite track: Tempest.
Zhakathoom thumbnail
Zhakathoom There is Kylesa, and there are many like it. To the point where it's almost become a subgenre of it's own. But this is one of the best examples of someone boldly stepping into that genre, grabbing it by the throat and making it's own. Shroud Eater surprises on many levels, and being that bright star among many others makes this a seriously noteworthy album.
Michał Dobrzański

Michał Dobrzański Sludgish, nasty and dirty. I love these vocal melodies mingled with pure heavy riffage. Favorite track: Tempest.
Colin M.
Colin M. thumbnail
Colin M. Thick and gloriously heavy chock full of cool vocal melodies and top of the line riffage. Favorite track: Lord of the Sword.

Stijn Van Hees You can't mention this EP without mentioning Kylesa but then again all the other impostors have failed miserably wilst Shroud Eater doesn't.

Shroud Eater Miami, Florida

Dubbed by Heavy Planet as “Stoner-Sludge Titans”, and described by the Miami New Times as “Archaic sounding sludge-metal with a touch of Motorhead and a heap of witchcraft”, brooding Miami riff sorcerers SHROUD EATER continue to deliver crushing alms to the altar of heavy.
